We have made more personalized, broadcast-quality tribute videos than any other company in North America. In all styles, at varying lengths and for all kinds of budgets. We do funny and serious. Documentaries and mockumentaries. A ‘Special Report’ from a TV anchor-desk or a funny ‘info-mercial’ incorporating an honouree’s strengths and idiosyncrasies. Traditional and out-of-the-box concepts. Heck, we once did a full-blown parody of the game show “Jeopardy!” for a woman’s surprise 50th birthday and shot it on the show’s actual set in Culver City, Cal. We absolutely love doing this-is-your-life videos and make sure our customers have fun and get a product they love. For more than 30 years, families and organizations have entrusted us with their all-important tribute videos, and it’s a responsibility we take seriously.

Your Life Productions is headed by Bob Pomerantz, who founded the company in 1986 in Toronto. Before launching the firm, Bob enjoyed a 12-year career as a print journalist. He was a staff writer, editor and columnist at the Toronto Star newspaper and a regular contributor to magazines including National Lampoon and Chatelaine. He also wrote for "Comedy Jam", a sketch-comedy television show.

Bob has a hand in every Your Life video, and ensures that each one is superbly produced and brought in on budget and deadline. As well as writing, producing and interviewing, he puts together the team for a particular project; oversees the development of every video and serves as the client’s senior contact or co-contact.

This clip is from a surprise 40th-birthday video done for Your Life Productions founder Bob Pomerantz. His favorite high school teacher, George Powell, talks about Bob’s escapades at Vaughan Road Collegiate.
