About Your Life Productions

We make our tribute videos in all styles, at varying lengths and for most budgets. We do funny and serious. Scripted and unscripted. Documentaries and mockumentaries. Traditional and out-of-the-box concepts: Base our biopic at a TV news anchor desk, parody Squid Game or create a funny infomercial incorporating an honouree’s strengths and quirks. Heck, we once did a version of “Jeopardy!” for a surprise 50th birthday video and shot it on the game show’s actual set in Culver City, Cal. We absolutely love doing happy birthday videos, anniversary videos, retirement videos and other video biographies and make sure our customers have fun and get a product they love. For 35 years, families and organizations have entrusted us with their all-important video tributes, and it’s a responsibility we take seriously.

Bob Pomerantz

That Tribute Video Guy

Your Life Productions was founded in Toronto in 1986 by Bob Pomerantz. Before launching YLP, Bob enjoyed a 10-year career as a print journalist. He was a staff writer, editor and columnist at the Toronto Star newspaper and a regular contributor to National Lampoon magazine. He also wrote for "Comedy Jam", a sketch-comedy television show.

LORI FERENCE

Former investment banker Lori Ference has held a senior role at YLP since 2003. She brings her crack research, organizing and customer-service skills to every project. She will work with you to find the right creative approach for your budget, honouree and, when applicable, corporate culture. Oh, and Lori’s very creative, too--but not as funny as Bob thinks he is.

Our core group also includes a passionate young broadcast journalism grad, an award-winning cameraman-editor-designer and a veteran TV and radio funnyman. Together, we and our  associates aim to create the best tribute videos on the planet.
